Alberta/Japan COVID-19 Response

 FACTSnet is developing COVID-19 network resources for their Alberta/Japan Networks as follows:

  1. We plan to hire Young People (ages 15-30) to develop our Alberta/Japan Networks as follows:
  • Alberta Grade 4 Social Studies -Japanese in Alberta.
  • Alberta Grade 8 Social Studies -Virtual visits toJapan.
  • Alberta Grade 11 Social Studies -World War II virtual visits.
  • Post-Secondary exchange programs especially helping Japanese students preparing to study in Alberta
  • Support for Alberta students studying Japanese language and culture, both in High School and at Post-Secondary institutions.  
  • Planning Post-COVID-19 tours to Japan and from Japan to Alberta.

  1. CIN (Collaborative Information Networks) is providing audit access to their Maximize Your COVID-19 Potential Course for Alberta/Japan Organizations for a minimal fee. 

  2. Developing this network has several Career Options with opportunities to work in Japan (JET) and at the UofA to get a Certificate in International Studies, take summer courses and be an exchange student.
